Military Service

All persons capable of service are drafted into the military for 2 years from the ages of 15 to 17, and placed within the military structure based on their abilities and apprenticeships. For example, a smith will almost always work within the Armory, improving his skills as well as learning military discipline. While many humans and some halflings will turn this into a career, most dwarves will head home when they are done to serve in the Holt if a military bent is their chosen craft.
